ABOUT ME

I grew up as an insecure kid and made it to professional football in the first division.

But I was still insecure.
Throughout my entire youth, I felt inferior to others. The opinions of others could either make or break me. My insecurity held me back enormously — in my sport, my relationships, my studies, in everything.

One day, I was invited by a mental coach.
He taught me that thinking could simply be different. I realized I could become more aware and distance myself from my former “self,” from my own personality. I learned to observe it from a distance and evaluate what I was thinking.

I felt like I could take on anything. And that feeling was real. Simply by looking at things differently, I felt completely different. The only thing that changed was how I saw myself and the awareness of what I had been thinking about all day.From that moment on, everything in my life truly started to change. I became more aware, thought less, felt much calmer, and was more focused on what I was doing.
I began to see my own value — and it wasn’t some fake pep talk, it was based on facts.

I immersed myself in the subject and started helping others.

After my football career, I started working at the Royal Bank of Scotland. Through customer service and credit management, I gradually moved into corporate training. The CEO at the time asked me to deliver those same trainings in the Netherlands and Germany.That’s when I started my independent career as a Mental Coach.
